NCCN User's Guide and Learning Portal

This website aims to provide a portal of information for community college instructors (CCIs) to explore topics of interest for their Astronomy class. It provides curated materials on a wide variety of general astronomy, space science, NASA missions and includes resources to suggested labs.  Begin by selecting the 'Resources' button in the top menu.

To broker direct partnerships between NASA science subject matter experts and community college instructors there is a "matchmaking" section, also found in the top banner.  Start by updating your profile by clicking on your name (in the black bar in top right of screen) then select 'My Profile'.  Click through each tab to fill out the information.  When you get to the 'Privacy' tab, select which items you would like to be visible on your profile seen by others.  Under the 'Match' tab, select which items you would like the person you are seeking for your class (if you are a teacher) or offering to a class (if you are an SME).

To provide professional development and training for both groups, under the 'Webinars' header, are videos curated for your group.  Feel free to reach out to us for new video ideas and suggestions!

Community college instructors include videos which support or extend their knowledge of NASA science or research topics and help them communicate new or more engaging concepts to their students.

NASA subject matter experts have access to videos to help them engage effectively with the instructors and students at community colleges. For scientists new to outreach, we want to help them understand community college audiences and how best to work with them.
